Reflection
I was just thinking about the reasons why I am here, all the way from Singapore, leaving everything I am familiar with behind. Among all the routine work and school stuff I seemed to have lost my direction and forgot about my aims of coming US. Oh yes there have been setbacks and disappointing moments but it's really about time that I get back on track. My biggest problem has not been resolved yet and I still waiting for the verdict. I needa get this off my mind and start afresh. I still have more than half a year here and it's definitely not too late.
Past few months were literally like an roller coaster ride. Ups and downs, twists and turns. In this tiny NCBV community a lot of things can happen and it's really interesting to just sit back and watch how things evolve. Learning how to deal with different types of people is an essential skill here. There are people who are just here to be social butterflies, there are people who are here just for fun, there are people who are looking to build long lasting friendships here too. You need to learn how to play with people who do not speak their minds, people who speak offensively, people who don't speak and people who speak rubbish. Your patience, tolerance, morals and values are put to great tests here. Life here is not so hard that it will kill you, but it's very delicate and intricate to juggle with. Sorry for the lack of updates simply because my Internet connection is not very good and I was not in the mood...
