Progress Package
Just read my friend's blog and he mentioned something that I have always wanted to say for a long time. Why are we PRs not given the progress package? Because we did not contribute to the progress of the country? Why are we PR NSFs not given the NS bonus? Because we did not contribute to the defence of the country? We sweated and bled on the field during NS just like any other Singaporeans, so why are we treated like a 2nd class citizens? I hate to say this but the only difference that I can think of between a PR and a citizen is that one cannot vote while the other can. Any other better explanation to this anyone? I can't believe a good 2 years and 2 months serving the country cannot even get me that mere 100 bucks. I don't get the logic at all...
