Emotional Guys
I am surprised at how emotional guys can get at times. Recently or rather of my one yr plus of stay at my bunk I have witnessed many emotional moments of my bunk buddies. Most of the time I am not directly involved and I always have this feeling that I am watching some drama series from Taiwan. Guys throwing things around, well of course including vulgarities. One time it even involved a bayonet! Just how exciting can things get in a small bunk like mine! Mirrors have been shattered, tears have been shed, for some stupid issues like girlfriends being wilful, guys wanting to eat pills, letters being crumpled, doors being smashed... It's so OMFG... After all we are all bunk mates who have went through shit together, suffered shit together and fought against our shit superiors together. How many people in your life can share such experience with you? Of course when a group of people come to live under the same roof there are bound to be conflicts and arguments and it's very common for people to get angry at each other. When anger gets the better of one, hurting words would be thrown all over the little small bunk. But come on, as guys we shouldn't be so petty and let's just forget about what have happened the next day. What is more guys in my bunk are all generally nice people with little faults and there is really no reason why we should bear grudge against each other for too long.
Besides the emotional guys, the highlight of this wk is none other than my 3 days 2 nights outfield. The f*****g mosquitoes were so god damn irritating. I had guard duty on Sunday and immediately moved out for outfield on Mon. I thought I could take some rest in the night at least but the freaking mosquitoes kept me entertained for 2 freaking tiring nights! Can u imagine that? Not having more than 7 hours of proper rest for 4 days 3 nights? But anyway the outfield was quite a disaster initially. Every single one person in the platoon was coated with one layer of rust. None could remember the proper drills! I even gave wrong orders what the hell... We did well for our 4 seconds rule though. The mere sound of a vehicle approaching would set everyone running like freaking little rats across the field. I realised Eyeshield 21's real identity is actually Teo CB...
Anyway this wk is damn tiring, my 2.4 timing dropped like hell and I was panting like a dying dog by the end of it. Brunei is drawing near and the prospect of spending my 21st birthday with my men outfield at Brunei really makes me shudder... Hope I can come back in one piece....
